    The Zinc in AREDS 2 is too high. The copper is too low and the Lutein and Zeaxanthin are also too low. Myles Behrens predecessor Dr. Carroll used to use Brewer's yeast (no more Brew for his alcoholics,  just Brewer's yeast). There are far better nutrient sources than AREDS.

    Dear Scott,

    I, too, had the honor of Dr. Carroll's sage advice prior to his passing.  With ethambutol toxicity I've found that Ginkgo biloba extract 60mg. BID helped by increasing circulation to the nerves and chiasm that helps in the reversal of vision and field loss.
