You are invited to submit UPFRONT cases. Please remember that these cases, which will appear on the home page of our journal, and are indexed, are aimed at early career ophthalmology and neurology residents (and to a lesser degree, medical students) to let them see what we do and how we make a difference in patient's care. They are, in effect, simultaneously an educational and marketing tool. We need a NANOS member as an author to insure that the case is written at the correct level. They should not have med students as lead authors.
I have enclosed the formal instructions on how to submit.
The first step is to simply email me a few sentences proposing your case.
One change is that our publisher needs us to get patient consent to use their story, even if they have no recognizable images in the case. You can submit your institutional consent, or you can use the form linked to the enclosed instructions.
