I have a patient that was recently diagnosed with ALS by her neurologist. While I don’t see many of these patients in my clinic I occasionally have them referred due to blurred vision. Visually she is doing well but was asking me about what centers in the USA are doing studies or at least focus on ALS. Anyone have a good recommendation for this over what comes up on google (Mayo, Michigan, Miami, and the ALS society).
    Thank you

    Hi Jody,

Our center at the Barrow Neurological Institute - the Gregory W. Fulton Neuromuscular Center has specialists who treat ALS patients and enroll them in clinical trials. Shafeeq Ladha is the division director and also who actively enrolls patients in various trials that are on going. If interested, feel free to message separately (pateliteasu@gmail.com) and I can give you relevant contact details, etc.

    Warm regards,

    Jay N. Patel, MD

One of the largest national centers for ALS is here at MGH, with multiple trials.
