Dear WINners, I can't wait to see you all at NANOS on Friday!
Please be informed that the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium hotel block and registration will open later today!
Last year folks had trouble finding rooms so letting you all know to book asap if you are planning to come. I would love as much neuro ophthalmology representation as I can get this year--it's our year!
Reach out to me too if you have any other interests for that meeting or in general with more involvement in WIO. We need to keep building our neuro ophthalmology presence there.

Thanks to Sangeeta and committee for tolerating my WIO shout out on this forum. Just don't want anyone to miss out on Aug 20-23 in Monterey CA!

(Some of the website is getting fixed but registration, when open, will work)

Thank you, Kim.  Kim failed to tell everyone that she is our 2026 President of Women in Ophthalmology!  Congratulations, Kim. She has a huge responsibility this upcoming year and the Summer Symposium is the annual highlight.  Having attended many WIO summer symposia (like Lynn Gordon, Sangeeta Khanna, Barbara Yates, Tatiana Deveney, to name a few WINers), I would like to echo Kim's invitation and tell you that the WIO is a meeting to empower women with confidence in a variety of important areas including negotiations, public speaking, career advancement, work-life balance, etc, while educating us with the latest and greatest in a variety of ophthalmic subjects.  There are tremendous networking opportunities in a relaxed and comfortable setting.  And finally, the banquet ends with energetic and fabulous dancing!  Please come out to the WIO in beautiful Monterey, CA, and support Kim and encourage exposure of neuro-ophthalmology to the greater ophthalmic community.  Thanks.  Sophia

    Congrats, Kim!

Totally agree with Sophia's endorsement of the WIO summer symposium.

Also, you don't have to be a member of WIO to attend. And those of you who are in academic practice, this symposium offers many ways to participate in academic activities-medical student projects, session moderator, speaker and more.
