    Dear WIN members,

This is an interesting time we are living in.  I hope that despite the storms around us that are blowing hard, we can find quiet calm in the center.  We hope to see you at the next book club on 4/12/26 @12pm PST hosted by Barbara Yates on Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by Brene Brown.  Brene Brown's research has been focused on topics such as vulnerability, shame, guilt and empathy, and how they shape our resilience.

Also, if you have thought of applying for the Leadership Development Award, the moment is now.  Please don't pass up the opportunity this year despite all the distractions around.  Ice hockey player Wayne Gretzky famously once said "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take."  The grant is not restricted to use in the United States, it is yours if granted to use for whichever leadership program you want to take for personal development.  NANOS extended the due date to 2/13/26: https://www.nanosweb.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=4209

Lastly, I want to remind everyone to use the email above for WIN.  All NANOS emails will end with @connected community.org. The old email nanoswin@listserv.nanosweb.org does not work anymore in case you need to reach out to the community to share your thoughts.  Use the board!

    Kindly,
    Barbara Yates and Sangeeta Khanna

I second Barb's recommendation to apply for the Leadership grant - now in its 9th year!.  There is no gender restriction for eligibility and it comes with $3000 to fund attendance at a leadership program of your choice.

    Hello All

We are excited to learn that some of you are already preparing your application and taking advantage of the extended deadline.
This is a wonderful opportunity to invest in yourself and then give back to NANOS community! The application is not too time consuming, here's a nudge for the rest of you.

Look forward to seeing you all in Boston!
