I know this is not our usual discussion point but since I got surprised by this which led to me having to do a bunch of things quicker than I would normally want to, I want to make sure you all know that windows 10 will no longer be supported after the month of September

This does not mean that your computer will no longer work, but it does mean that you will no longer be able to get windows updates

If your university, practice, or organization behaves the way my university does, it means that they will not allow you to connect to their network because all the security patches that prevent hacking will no longer be received by you

And it is not as simple as just updating your computer and downloading Windows 11 as some computers particularly those that are more than a couple years old cannot run Windows 11

I learned that a really high-end laptop I bought about five years ago cannot be updated. therefore I had to purchase a replacement laptop.

I would assume as we get closer to September 30 as more people discover this predicament there will be a run on computers so I just wanted to alert you to this in case you haven’t heard it and if you’ve heard it I’m sorry for intruding

As Larry is warning you about Windows 10 vs 11, I might as well warn those who don't know that Microsoft will no longer support the 2016 version of Office 365 as of October.

I have windows 11 since it was issued as an upgrade from windows 10 and I had that for free and my laptop is not new core I 5 which about 4 years old and is working fine , as for office yes it has to be updated with a small monthly fee that is not annoying and is also working well in the same computer , I didn't have any noticeable issues with both
